About Cancer Crowdsource

Our Mission

To democratize cancer treatment knowledge by collecting real-world experiences from patients, making this collective wisdom accessible to everyone, and putting treatment options back in the hands of those who need them most.

Why We Created This Platform

Cancer Crowdsource was born from a simple but powerful observation: there are countless anecdotal reports across the web about people trying non-standard therapies with varying degrees of success, but no systematic way to collect, verify, and analyze this information.

Consider Joe Tippens, who created his own protocol using fenbendazole (a veterinary deworming drug) and reported his cancer going into remission. Or the many reports of people using curcumin, medicinal mushrooms, or repurposed medications as part of their cancer treatment. These approaches deserve attention and careful study, but many will never receive formal clinical trials because they:

  • Use generic, inexpensive substances that won't generate blockbuster revenues
  • Employ natural compounds that cannot be patented
  • Combine multiple approaches that are difficult to study in traditional trial formats
  • Fall outside the established pharmaceutical research pipeline

Without this platform, people are left to either take suggestions from the internet with no way to verify effectiveness, or piece together their own protocols without systematic tracking of results.

The Power of Collective Data

What makes Cancer Crowdsource uniquely powerful is the ability to track individual interventions over time, across many patients. With enough participation, patterns of effectiveness will emerge:

  • Large-Scale Insights: If thousands of people report using curcumin, we can quickly detect patterns of effectiveness across different cancer types, dosages, and combinations.
  • Longitudinal Tracking: By following outcomes over months and years, we gain understanding about long-term effects that short clinical trials might miss.
  • Real-World Combinations: Many patients use multiple approaches simultaneously, allowing us to see which combinations show promise.
  • Pattern Recognition: With sufficient data, we can identify which treatments show the highest response rates for specific cancer types and stages.

This methodical collection of real-world experiences can potentially become the most comprehensive cancer treatment database ever assembled—gathering information from millions of patients over many years.

Democratizing Cancer Treatment

Our goal is to shift the balance of power back to patients by:

  • Sharing All Data: All participants have continuous access to the aggregated, anonymized data as it grows.
  • Complete Transparency: No hiding negative results or cherry-picking outcomes—every experience contributes to our collective understanding.
  • Empowering Self-Advocacy: Armed with comprehensive information, patients can have more informed discussions with their healthcare providers.
  • Breaking Financial Barriers: Identifying effective treatments that are accessible to everyone, regardless of economic status.

With large numbers of participants, we could potentially transform how cancer is managed, making treatment decisions more democratic, accessible, and patient-centered rather than driven primarily by pharmaceutical companies and regulatory bodies.

How You Can Contribute

Your participation is what makes this vision possible:

  • Share Your Experience: Document your cancer treatment journey, including both conventional and alternative approaches.
  • Track Your Outcomes: Update your results regularly to show the evolution of your treatment's effectiveness.
  • Spread the Word: The more participants we have, the more powerful our data becomes. Tell others about this platform.
  • Support Our Mission: Consider supporting Cancer Crowdsource financially to ensure this resource remains available to everyone.
